Permanently temporary

Why would you sacrifice the stability and certainty of a salary, the status and privilege, not to mention the regular cubicle spot, that a permanent job offers. Why would you contract or temp? Try asking for a bank loan and explaining that you don’t hold down a permanent job?

One word: Freedom.

Freedom from the rat race, that is. Build your own career path, or just do what it is you really enjoy, without the worry of ending up a low level manager in a giant corporation, reading your script from some bloated operations manual. Let’s contract! Sure there’s one or two obstacles to overcome, but hey, they’re details.
