Thank God it’s Friday. The last few weeks have really dragged and I have especially looked forward to the weekends. I hate living like this though. The time spent working should be fun and fulfilling. I’ve always believed that work should be so much so, that it shouldn’t even feel like work.

Unfortunately it is possible to occasionally encounter autocratic individuals who insist on imposing bureaucracy. Or rules. And rules are about control. Rules are safe, and do not require us to think independently or in a solution orientated way.

Now that would be hard work, wouldn’t it?

Generally though such individuals live rather deluded lives and their influence usually extends no further than their narrow little minds. In my experience such types tend to remain at the lower end of the organisational chart, if you take my meaning.

As such no one ultimately takes much notice anyway. It brings to mind the old Talking Head’s number; We’re on the road to nowhere.

But not me, and not this weekend either…
