This photo is about the only one I have taken at the site of the Holy Grail Louvre in Paris. I had, like many other people gone to see the lady (er, Mona, not Mary ;) herself, but they would not allow cameras in her presence, at the time of my visit. While I can understand that, it’s too bad, as I would have loved ... I didn’t plan to spend that long in Portugal, but shortly after arriving in downtown Lisboa (Lisbon), I was hooked. There was something about the historic city, also known as the Princess of the Sea, that seemed somehow settling and also oddly familiar, even though I had never been there before.Indeed the ... Some more snippets:“If you miraculously found more time in your day, what would you do with it? Maybe not what you think.” Another look at the pitfalls of working from home, courtesy of Jugglezine latest edition.“Citizens of the United States (especially the primarily English speaking ones) you need to get over yourselves about your indifference to this sport or anything else that people outside ... A little bit of a low down:Separate lies is a who-dun-it sort of movie set in the tranquil (and very affluent) home counties of London. The main story I guess ends with an interesting twist (to call it an “unexpected twist” would be an oxymoron, no? ;) about ten minutes before the movie itself does. About two years are played out in the ... Read full entry

Redmond, we have a problem…So, I decided to test disassociated at IE Capture, and check that it displays correctly in Microsoft’s new browser Internet Explorer 7. Unfortunately, the results were less than encouraging.View a larger image (JPEG 127K)What’s with the application error message that the new browser displayed? Why should this happen? My code is valid, and disassociated displays correctly ... Read full entry

I’m hardly a wine connoisseur, so maybe I am bit behind the game in this regard, but since when has egg white ever been part of the wine production process?Does this mean we may have to re-classify wine as a diary ... Read full entry

A few quick notes…Paul Jackson’s All the world’s a stage took out the “People’s Choice” award at this year’s Archibald Prize. Voting was via an on-line system, which beats the pencil and paper routine of years gone passed. Naturally an email address was required as part of the register-to-vote process, but so far I have not received any unwelcome mail-outs from ... Read full entry
