I’ve spent the last week or so watching DVDs of the BBC production, The Office. As I don’t own a TV, I’d only ever seen bits of maybe three episodes before this.

I’ve since been reading a few discussion forum threads on the show, and its primary protagonist, boss David Brent. Many of these threads ask the question, what’s the most cringe inducing moment of show.

And between the differing forums and threads I’ve seen, I think just about every moment, and every scene, involving Mr Brent has been mentioned!

The producers have certainly pulled out all the stops to create the boss from hell. While I’ve never had a boss quite like him, a number have featured one or other of his “attributes”, and that’s usually been enough.

So far I’ve seen the first and second series and now I’m trying to get hold of the Christmas specials. What a great show, and thankfully the producers didn’t try and stretch its run out to ten years or something.

Oh, by the way, I do in fact own a TV, but I keep it locked up in the cupboard under the stairs. Truly. It’s a (colour) 12 inch screen, so what’s the point anyhow? By the way, it’s yours for $50, please email your interest to me care of the funny farm.
