What a demanding week this has been. I really have to start taking my own advice. So, do you think I will? Anyway:
- At the movies: Wah-Wah is set during the final days of British rule in Swaziland in the late 1960s. The story tracks the ups and downs of an ex-patriot family whose experiences are a metaphor of sorts of the crumbling British Empire. I was surprised to learn this tightly scripted movie, which features some great cinematography, was an independent production made on a budget of just US$7 million! Speaking of the cinematography, check the scene where the train is travelling through that tiny gully!
- jenett.photo, a photoblog, is the latest project of Joe Jenett of Coolstop, and much more, fame.
- “Share your musical tastes with just a few clicks of the mouse. The world can see what you listen to. For real. For free.” MOG.
- weAREtheIMAGEmakers issue four is out.
- The crew at Lost At E Minor (as seen at OnVoiceOver) have redesigned their website. Nice work Zac and Zolton!
- “By its nature, in-country telecommuting is liberating - there’s no commute, no office politics, and no chatty colleagues.” Now how about telecommuting from an overseas base? Well, it’s certainly possible. Working with Wanderlust at Jugglezine.
