Oooohhh, it’s very close to the witching hour now, hey KIDS?Anyway a few quick Developer’s notes, of sorts. Sorry to those using Opera to browse this site - it looks rather SHITE (certainly in Opera 9.02 for Windows, the version I have). I’m not sure why as yet. The XHTML & CSS code validates, and all looks FINE in the latest versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Netscape.Being NYE ... Read full entry

Tagless?

I’ve just about written something in my “journal” every day since I re-booted it. Don’t worry, it won’t last. I’m in holiday mode, relaxed, and high on the happy side, so it’s kinda fun. Anyway, moving along, time to get a little more sombre.Technorati Tags. You’ve probably noticed they’re gone from here. Or, should I say, they did not carry through from the OLD disassociated BLOG.Am I so desperate to ... Read full entry

My sister asked if I had bought a Christmas tree this year. I had planned to decorate the lounge room a bit, but, like so many things, the idea went by the way side in the end. That’s not to say the place didn’t look unfestive. It did, thanks to my “Conga lamp”. It’s red-ish orange glow has cast a very “seasonal” hue over ... Read full entry

Ok, here are my Ten Web Design TRENDS For 2007. Much thought has gone into this list.1: Blogging will die and the Personal Wesite will return. Big call, hey? I can just see it. People deserting their blogs in droves and resurrecting their old personal sites. Ha, if you’re reading this, then you’ll know it’s started already…Blogging, thanks to the proliferation of tools that make it so easy, and tools ... Read full entry

There’s nothing like a FALSE fire alarm to hinder productivity. And this is about the fourth such occurrence here in the last two months. Needless to say, such repetitiveness begins to gets a tad annoying. And problematic.Aside from the cost of calling out the Fire Brigade ($330 per fire vehicle apparently), the frequency of these false alarms is now causing many of my neighbours to become increasingly BLASE.The first “incident” in ... Been out for a very, very late morning walk. Collected a few photos. And some sunburn, with my luck. (Yep, I did slip, slop, slap.)Anyway this photo’s interesting. It’s on the side wall of a local cafe, called 105 (cue: street number). Thing is the artwork on this spot of the wall seems to change regularly. Something else was there a few ... Read full entry

Present

Belmore Road, Randwick. Somewhere between the Garden of Eden and the Devil’s playground. Well, OK, it’s just your average suburban high street really.I’ve had a fine time as I’ve been running numerous pre Christmas errands. Running into friends old and new. Fabio has nothing on this. Sometimes it’s just a matter of saying hi. Or making eye contact. There’s no formula or “method”, it’s just so suddenly… Kobayashi MaruAre ... Read full entry
