I’ve just added a couple more photos to my Flickr page, which I snapped while making an unplanned stop in the Sydney suburb of Glebe last Sunday.
I’d stopped (yes - pulled over - no contravening of local laws against using a mobile whilst driving here!) to take a phone call from a friend who is in Europe, so as to end a game of telephone tag that had been ongoing for the previous couple of days.
That’s when I spotted the above wall mural.
Adding a slightly bizarre twist to proceedings was a completely chance encounter with Kathy, who happens to be a member of the Sydney Bloggers Meetup group. She just happened to be walking along the street as I was there.
Quite a coincidence - on a quiet side street in a part of town I seldom visit, in a city of four million people, and running into someone I only see a couple of times a year at gatherings in another part of town!

It’s funny but … I’ve lived in Seattle (tech central in the States, of course) for quite a while but none of my blogger-friends are from here.
Tangentially related: if you are interested in Australian street art, I recently wrote a post on Melbourne with some links too more here.
@WebUrbanist - I guess if I’d have parked up ten minutes earlier, or later, we’d not have encountered each other - it seemed like quite the coincidence at the time!
Thanks also for the link to your Melbourne street art post :)
