Apologies for the longer than expected outage during the upgrade to Wordpress 2.2.1… one or two files didn’t make the upload (no one click installs on this web server - it’s a manual process!), so things didn’t quite run as expected.
All should be well now.
And I enabled Akismet after the upgrade… it seems someone (a spammer) was trying to dispense dodgy share market advice here earlier!

Akismet is a godsend… one of the best plugins that i have added to my site without a doubt. Not too sure how i feel about the upgrades though, every upgrade burns me out… glad you got things running again
Well so far so good with Akismet… you’re right about the upgrades - they’re slightly nerve racking - you need to carefully delete one lot of files and upload the new lot - and hope the connection doesn’t drop out half way through, or something!
