- The McFarlane Prize: on the subject of web design, Australian designers and developers take note, The McFarlane is on for 2007! Any websites launched, or significantly upgraded, in the year ending July 31 2007, are eligible for nomination. This is quite an accolade to receive, and you have until the end of August to enter!
- I’m finally working on the next edition of OnVoiceOver, but I was interested to see networking group Port 80 who I profiled in early 2006 has now become the Australian Web Industry Association. Although based in Perth, West Australia, the AWIA is spreading across Australia.
- I’m looking forward to the next Batman movie The Dark Knight, but not so much the wait… it isn’t released until next year! Not to worry StupidTom grabbed a few photos while a scene was being filmed in Chicago recently. So who is the hooded figure then?
- More of my posts have been featured in blog carnivals! Thanks to Webmaster-Source for including me in their recent Webmaster Articles Blog Carnival, and likewise Adelaide Green Porridge Cafe (hmm, green porridge?!) for this week’s Carnival of Australia.

Nice! Congrads on the blog carnivals - I tried a few of those back when but kind of forgot about them. Any tips for finding relevant ones to a particular niche/location?
Thanks for the twice-removed sneak-peak of the Batman flick. There’s a website idea in that: accumulate pictures from movies being filmed and group them by movie - those folks who like making ‘fan trailers’ could splice ‘em together ;)
Hey Kurt no real tips re Blog carnivals… you really have to go through any relevant categories and see if you have a recent post/article that may suit an upcoming carnival.
Sometimes I look for BCs that are closing within a week’s time and then see if I can submit anything… saves having to look at every last BC that is happening!
