Apparently “global warming” is on hold for the next two years, according to an article in today’s paper.
Powerful computer simulations used to create the first global warming forecast suggests temperature rises will stall in the next two years, before rising sharply at the end of the decade.
Not in Sydney, buster, not today. We are told we can expect the temperature to reach 25°C by this afternoon.
The “average” August temperature in Sydders, which is still officially winter might I add, is supposed to be 18°C.
To think it was, allegedly, colder than Antarctica right here in Sydney, just a few weeks ago…

I just saw the documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, last week…and I’ve already started walking more. That shite is scary. Here in Texas, we had over 2 months of rain…straight. No joke. The last 2 weeks have been the first real summer days for 2007.
Two months of rain is a lot! We had a lot of rain here in June, which filled the water dams, and helped the farmers, etc, which was obviously welcome.
We had a cooler than usual July, but having said that, the temperatures were pretty “normal” for July, it’s just that it’s been a while since we had normal winter temps… we’ve gotten used to relatively mild winters in the last several years!
I’m still to see that movie btw… but it’s something I’ll do.
