- Bargain Shopping alert! I forgot to mention that my sister, Bridget, who lives in Auckland, New Zealand, has recently launched an online bargain shopping guide! In addition to a website featuring sales and bargain alerts, a magazine/guide will also be produced annually. Start writing up those wish lists…
- The Blogging Cafe: “is a community for bloggers, by bloggers. We discuss all aspects of blogging offering support and community”, established by Bryce of a strangled duck. I can assure you ducks posting on this forum will not be harmed!
- l-e-mental: is the blog of the rather prolific Claire Hyland, an Irish ex-Londoner now living in New York, and features a “collection of stories, inspirational quotes, innovative ideas, insightful recommendations, brand and trend examples, and ‘on-the ground’ visuals that capture the spirit of tomorrow, today”.
- QBN Sessions: if you’re going to be in Los Angeles on 7 September, book yourself a ticket for this “full day of creative inspiration and discussion followed by cocktails and music with sensational views of the city lights below”. A few “old skool” designers are on the line up including Joshua Davis and Matt Owens.
- I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, Blog Carnivals are a great way to promote your blog. There’s a stack of carnivals about, so you’d be hard pressed not to find at least one or two places to submit some of your recent posts to. Thanks to The Carnival of Career and Job Advice and Carnival of Australia for featuring a couple of disassociated posts recently!

I still haven’t done much with Carnivals … I guess the key is figuring out regional or niche ones related to what you write about? Thanks for the Blogging Cafe link - looks interesting!
@Derami: Thanks for saying it looks interesting, it’s tough to get people to join a brand new forum
Thanks for the shout!

Keep ‘em coming, John. We love your posts! Our next carnival is at the end of this month, so please submit some good stuff.
