Secret Service… or just Channel 9?
It’s 9:30pm in Sydney and we are told a certain world leader arrives within the hour.
I haven’t felt this close to a US Presidential visit since we were evicted by John Howard himself from the Australian houses of Parliament in ‘96 (we’d been in Canberra that weekend, and were doing the tourist thing), so he could meet with Bill Clinton’s security advisers.
Our special guest is much closer to home this time…
I saw the photos of “his” arrival. Downtown Sydney looks so bizarre with the fences and barricades. Pleased I’m not there atm :)
I had to go to Taylor Square tonight… I was thinking I’m glad I don’t have to go any further down Oxford Street…
