- How to Ruin a Web Design - The Design Curve: too many cooks spoil the broth? A watched kettle never boils? When I used to create website mockups I’d leave them to “sit” overnight. If I liked what I saw the next day, I’d run with it. If I didn’t, I’d trash it. The more I poked around with a design, the worse it became. Likewise asking for too many opinions can have the same effect.
