  • [weAREtheIMAGEmakers] issue 12 is online and includes profiles of Ape Seven, Munk Motion , Steve Gourlay, Doug Bartlett and Ben Thomas, plus galleries featuring artwork and photography by Australian creatives!
  • Facebook gets on with business: if you consider playing with Facebook apps business that is… And I guess knowing our stripper name is no laughing matter, and is something we can learn thanks to the efforts of Perth creative collective TheBroth!
  • Best of September 2007 by Smashing Magazine. It must take hours to compile some of the articles that appear at Smashing, and this round up includes a huge selection of links to articles, tutorials, web tools, and even business cards, to name just a few items. A must look at for any blogger or designer.
  • Fully Illustrated is the portfolio of Manchester based designer and illustrator Michael Heald, which also includes some amazing photography.
  • How to Ruin a Web Design - The Design Curve: too many cooks spoil the broth? A watched kettle never boils? When I used to create website mockups I’d leave them to “sit” overnight. If I liked what I saw the next day, I’d run with it. If I didn’t, I’d trash it. The more I poked around with a design, the worse it became. Likewise asking for too many opinions can have the same effect.

  • Hi John, first time visitor here, although I’ve been seeing your name around a few places - we seem to visit a few blogs in common!

Thanks for the links - I found the Articles section in Smashing Magazine particularly good, they do seem to put in a lot of work like you say.
