From the Wordpress development blog:
WordPress 2.3.1 is almost ready to go.
Great. Just what I want to hear, especially having not graduated disassociated to WP 2.3.
Yet.
I have however (just) upgraded The InterChange Desk, and the new native tagging feature works a treat. While I have nothing against Ultimate Tag Warrior, it just seems to make sense to use the in-house tagging system.
The WP codex provides a good run down on how to implement the new tagging system, (if in doubt go with the “default usage” option) and you can also import your old UTW tags into the new WP tagging system.
I don’t know, I still think WP upgrades come along just a little too often, and even though I now have the benefit of one click installs, the process is still a hassle.
Backup thy database. Disable plugins. Activate maintenance mode. Reactive plugins. Do it all again a few weeks later. Could be worse though. Could be like iTunes updates…
