- Ad nauseam: Facebook users to cop the hard sell. Here we go then. “The Facebook free ride is over as the social network now seeks to turn its 50-million-strong user base into an army of viral marketers.” I’d like to see what they pull out of the hat though, there may be a monetising cue or two for bloggers to follow…
- Graceful E-Mail Obfuscation at A List Apart. A possible way of protecting your email addresses online is discussed by Roel Van Gils. This technique requires some server side scripting and hacking of code, so it may not be for everyone, but it does resolve a number of less than effective spam prevention practices currently in use.
- Prince threatens to sue his fans over online images: oh dear. The blogger formerly known as Prince is on the warpath and threatening to sue fan websites over the unauthorised use of lyrics, images, album covers, and anything else bearing his “likeness”. An odd move for the mysterious one considering the relationship with his online fan base would be a great way to promote and distribute his work, thus circumventing the record companies he so reviles.
- Michael Murphy: is a London based architect and graphic artist who produces images with a futuristic feel. Would saying his work reminded me of The Jetsons be out of line?
- Hey You! Yes you, with the Partial Feed: yes, I have to say it, I hate PARTIAL RSS feeds! Yes, I have become addicted to looking at my RSS reader all day, and getting annoyed at having to click through to the source website to see the rest of an article! There is hope though… there’s a WP plugin called dualfeeds which allows subscribers to make the choice between full or partial feeds!
