Francis Ford Coppola - A Life Behind the Lens.

A retrospective that looks at the film work of Francis Ford Coppola, director of The Godfather series, Apocalypse Now, and The Cotton Club, to name a few.

In the last 35 years, the master filmmaker has created many of cinema’s most iconic films.

The Godfather Part II, aside from being considered the greatest sequel ever made, has another claim to fame, by sheer virtue of the fact it is a sequel.

The film was the first major motion picture to use “Part II” in the title, thus paving the way for the sequel as we know it today.

Coppola is currently working on a new movie, Youth Without Youth, which strikes me as being tad reminiscent his of 1986 time travel drama Peggy Sue Got Married.

The movie [Youth Without Youth] explores the themes of time, consciousness and the dream-like basis of reality.

Sounds a little familiar…
