The Matchbox Project: Sydneysiders; look out for those matchboxes…
Each week, a decorated matchbox with a tiny present hidden inside is left by a girl (and sometimes willing friends) somewhere in her travels. It’s a random act of semi-artistic kindness aimed at disrupting someone’s day in a tiny but positive way. That’s if they dare to pick it up…

Australian PM’s Election Woes: only because it is Election Day in Australia, and the fact I had to get up extra early (for a Saturday) so I could re-elect our rock star of an MP, Peter Garrett, to Parliament.
What caught my eye though, the other day was the byline of a Time Magazine article about Australian Prime Minister (as of time of writing), John Howard.
Not only is his own government facing defeat on Saturday; John Howard is in danger of losing his own constituency to a media star.
Ok, so Maxine McKew, his primary opponent, isn’t exactly a “media star”, she is in fact a former TV journalist, I still thought the byline was highly amusing. Happy Election Day Australia. +
