One of the most important things to keep in mind when writing JavaScript for the Web is to make it unobtrusive, since You cannot rely on JavaScript being available.

The Photo of the day blog features a new image each day, chosen from the Powerhouse photo library. These images have been taken by Museum photographers for a variety of purposes such as use in exhibitions and publicity, and to record the many aspects and activities of the Museum - from public events, programs and exhibitions to behind-the-scenes and location shots.

Social Spam and MyBlogLog: I still visit MyBlogLog from time to time in search of new and interesting blogs, but it’s not the place it used to be…

Everybody is sick of spam. Spam emails, spam blog comments, spam blog posts and spam on their profiles. It can seem like an opportunity ripe for the picking, and be done with all good intentions. But my advice is follow the ekiN principle - JUST DON’T DO IT.

How to Create Puzzling Interest & Buzz: another argument in favour of less being more…

Are you boring customers? Are you having trouble generating the interest that you used to? Has the Forrest Gump-like crowd that used to follow you around long decided to return home? Part of it could be that you are filling in too many of the blanks.

On the flip side, if you’re trying to speak to someone in a customer service call centre, as I was for some considerable time today, then it is impossible to run out of blanks to fill in! But let’s not get started on that… +
