2007 winding down. My last day in “the CBD office” tomorrow. Go back sometime in January.
It’ll be slowing down around here soon. The WP timestamp feature is proving a boon at the moment. I can spend a day, as I am now, composing several days worth of posts and then spend the rest of the time out there beyond the rainbow immersed in the silly season.
Despite “migrating” to Wordpress earlier this year, and making use of an application that is the very essence of blogging, I still like to consider disassociated an online journal more than anything else.
I think disassociated is too much a collection of my ramblings and aggregator of the things that interest me, to be considered a blog in the 2007 sense of the word.
There’s not enough analysis of the science of blogging here. There’s not enough talk about how to blog, what to do right, how to give to the blogosphere above and beyond the call, there’s not sufficient interest in SEO matters, niches, boosting thy Google pagerank, and who knows what else.
Sometimes it seems as if that’s all blogging is about. Blogs about blogging. Of course it’s not really, but I think my quest in 2008 shall be to find more of the people who are actually not blogging about blogging.
Anyway to those who have made it this far, through the year that is, thanks for your readership, comments, links, emails, and support.
Happy holidays all :)

Happy holidays and do not go too far :)
Thank you Pei, enjoy your holidays also :) I shall not digress too much ;)
John,
I get bored with the whole “blog about blogging” thing as well. Every now and then I think it’s all a waste of time, and then before you know it, I write a post about…..blogging. haha. What you said about Dissassociated not really fitting the 2007 sense of the term blogging, I really think it’s refreshing to see an actual ‘blog’. I don’t consider most of what we call blogs to really be that anymore. For instance, to me, a multi author blog, really isn’t a blog in my mind…..that’s a magazine!
hehe, I know what you mean Anthony, like or lump it, blogging is an infectious subject ;)
Considering a group blog a magazine is an interesting perspective though, coincidentally something that will be relevant in 2008…
