Don’t forget to update your copyright notices (if you use them) to include 2008.
Most people carry them in the footers or sidebars of their websites, so changing them globally (across the whole site) shouldn’t be too difficult.
In the “old days”, like a year ago, before I was using a CMS, and template based web publishing, I used to have to trawl through pages and pages of static HTML documents and change each instance separately.
That’s one reason I used to redesign disassociated every year, and never carry forward old content… it was too much work changing all those copyright notice dates.
Anyway time to get back to play at the SCG (rain stay away, we just might have an actual contest here… :)

I expect some themes would have javascript, or a server side include, or PHP code of some sort, that would automatically change the year. The web designer in me demands I do everything myself though…
