Tellingly, the last time we saw Heath Ledger in a film, he played a celebrity actor with a failing marriage and almost estranged from his young children. In I’m Not There, Ledger played Robbie Clark, one of several imagined versions of Bob Dylan. Clark was angry with paparazzi who stalked his every public move; he felt imprisoned by his fame.
