Schools to segregate pilgrims by sex
Good to see the Catholic church taking steps to keep those obviously amorous teenagers away from each other at this year’s World Youth Week event in Sydney, which will include an outdoor mass at Randwick Racecourse presided over by Pope Benedict XVI.
Teenage Catholic pilgrims will be strictly segregated when they sleep in school gymnasiums and halls as a condition of making available public primary and high schools for World Youth Day. Fire safety inspections and audits of toilet and showers have been carried out on 412 schools to assess suitable facilities to house 30,000 pilgrims for “indoor camping” in single-sex accommodation.
Strictly segregated single-sex accommodation; yep, that’s bound to keep the boys and girls apart… just as it always has in the past… ;)
