Arthur C. Clarke’s odyssey comes to an end

Science fiction author and visionary Arthur C. Clarke has died, aged 90, in Sri Lanka.

2001: A Space Odyssey, both the book and movie, which he co-wrote with Stanley Kubrick, are among my favourite stories and movies.

Update: link posted at Coudal Partners to a page with excerpts from Arthur C Clarke’s (I can never simply refer to him as Clarke) diary, extracted from his book Lost Worlds of 2001, written about the writing and producing of 2001: A Space Odyssey

December 25. Christmas Day, ha-ha! Hacked my way to Jupiter - slow but steady going.
