Mobile phone manners

It’s time mobile phone manufacturers started publishing a chapter covering usage etiquette in phone manuals.

Under no circumstances should you use the speaker phone functionality when other people are within hearing distance. This is doubly important for any personal calls. There are no circumstances under which we want to know about the inner workings of your family feuds or current status of your relationships.

Word.

I’ve witnessed a couple of instances of this, usually on public transport, where people have been carrying on phone conversations with the speaker on.

Hearing one sided mobile phone calls in (confined) public places is bad enough, let alone having to tolerate both sides of the discussion.
