“Star Wars” is My Co-Pilot

Apparently there are more followers of the Jedi faith than Scientologists in Britain, according to the country’s 2001 census. Given the opportunity to join a religion that offers mind control techniques, and light sabers as part of the deal, I can see why.

Anyone who wants to become a member signs up through our Website. We give them the Jedi handbook and that’s their research document that we use as a reference tool throughout our teachings. After a couple weeks we’ll initiate them into the Jedi Academy where they can start their 15 level platform training, and each one is like a course. [Courses include light saber training, Jedi mind-control and martial arts.]

If the leader of the Jedi Council, or Church, ever chose to visit Australia, where the religion also has a strong foothold, I wonder if Royal Randwick Racecourse would be offered up to him or her, in the same way it is for Pope Benedict XVI in July?
