Aggressive drivers mark territory with bumper stickers

Spot the aggressive driver…

Look out for cars adorned with bumper stickers, window decals, and even personalised number plates, which, according to a study by social psychologist William Szlemko, are used to demarcate the driver’s “territory” on the road.

And it doesn’t matter how altruistic in nature the bumper stickers may be… a monster waiting-to-be-unleashed lurks just beneath the surface…

It does not seem to matter whether the messages on the stickers are about peace and love - “Visualize World Peace,” “My Kid Is an Honor Student” - or angry and in your face - “Don’t Mess With Texas,” “My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Student.”
