Entries for this year’s McFarlane Prize open in about a week on 1 July, and any Australian website “launched since September 1st 2007, or … significantly updated since then”, can be nominated for the award.
The prize aims to recognise “excellence is Australian web design” – and focusses on 4 key areas of best practice. Design, Coding, Accessibility and Usability. A Jury of four eminent experts in each of these fields will assess the entrants, and ultimately award the prize.
This is one prize that will surely look good in the trophy cabinet.
