Randwick is bordered by pizza restaurants

Posted by John Lampard on Tuesday, 26 August, 2008 to the coffee subset

Maroubra coast line, Sydney

At least on its northern and southern borders anyway, with Queens Park Pizza Cafe to the north along Darley road, Arthur’s Pizza, in The Spot, to the south.

I only made this not-too-significant geographical realisation after collecting takeaway pizza from both places over the course of last weekend. What was more puzzling however was the realisation I hadn’t been to either pizzeria since the late 1990s.

This despite once being a regular customer at both places, and even going passed both shops, at least once a week, most of the time.

Guess I’ve been focussed on spending time within the boundaries of Randwick, rather than on its borders, these last few years.

Also took a spin out to Maroubra beach on Sunday, took a few snaps of course, you’ve got to love Sydney’s jagged coastline .

  • I remember the last time I went to QP pizza was with you, and it was not long after I met Mands, which means it was the best part of 10 years ago. When we’re all back in Sydney we should make a point of going there again. Ditto Arthurs. And you know what? I often go passed both places also. What does this mean? There’s so many cafes & restaurants in Sydney that it’s impossible to keep up with them all??
