A drinks gathering for bloggers in Sydney is on in The Arthouse Hotel’s Gallery Bar next Friday, 12 September, from 5pm.
A contraction of the words “blog” and “meet”. The word “Blogmeet” is thought to have come into common usage around 2006, when Homo sapiens sapiens came to the realisation that their shared habit of reading and commenting on a blog, or Weblog, could also serve as the foundation for the re-introduction of a then near-to-extinct H. s. sapiens habit of a physical social gathering, or “meeting”.
