youcallme, a way to avoid call centre queues?

While visiting the winning websites from this year’s WA Web Awards, I was intrigued by the concept of youcallme, a company that aims to reduce the time Australians spend trying to get through to the call centres of local businesses by, quite simply, arranging for the call centre to phone their customers instead.

Tired of waiting on-hold when you call? Why should you waste your time? After all – aren’t you paying for service? youcallme.com gets THEM to call YOU.

An interesting idea, and so far only a small number of Australian companies are involved, but I wonder how it will work out?
