The Invention of Lying sees Mark Bellison (Ricky Gervais) living in a bland, beige, and orderly world where people are incapable of lying… until one day he somehow learns to, and finds he has the ability to shape the world however he sees fit.
Has a moment or two, but overall lacks the randomness and spontaneity that we’ve seen Gervais bring to other roles.
