Leaf art, for best results use chinar tree leaves as canvases

posted by John Lampard on Tuesday, 2 February, 2010 to the design and art subset

The leaves of the chinar tree, which are native to India, Pakistan, and China, sure make for great leaf carving canvases.

The process of carving is performed by artists using tools to carefully remove the outer surface of the leaf without cutting or removing the veins which add detail into the subject matter of the carving.
