For the past six weeks Australian pop, graffiti, and collage artist, and Stupid Krap founder, Ben Frost has been presenting the Blank Generation series of art shows, an eclectic collection of art goodness, at hole-in-the-wall art gallery blank_space, in Surry Hills, Sydney.

By the end of August the work of Australians Holly Fewson, 1337, Phoenix, Hayley Arjona, and Denial from Canada, had been featured, and last Saturday, 5 September, saw the opening of “Please Stand By”, the final show of the series, by Sydney pop art and street artist Skel.

There’s no missing the influences of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein in her work, or, of course, the graffiti elements, and the painted especially for the occasion black walls and floor of blank_space, served only to add to the dynamic of the paintings on display.
