SPAMVENTDOCUMENT the blog, again

Posted by John Lampard on Monday, 11 August, 2008 to the blogs subset

I've mentioned Australian INfront founder, and web designer about Sydney, Justin Fox's latest personal blog before, but in a blogosphere choke full of make-money-online and blogs-about-blogging ... blogs, it is refreshing to read something again that is the no-strings-attached real deal. I feel like I've been sitting here all these years watching the world go by, in my "only dead fish go with the flow" sort of way, while ... Read full entry

Posted by John Lampard on Monday, 14 July, 2008 to the blogs subset

The key ingredient in the success of a corporate blog is a bevy of groupies, or readers who are fanatical about your brand. The first few readers to your blog will invariably be your brand fanatics. These are the people who want to go out and source new information about your brand. These are the people who speak about your brand to all their friends and swear by your ... Read full entry

Nic and Tim’s Excellent Cuban Adventure

Posted by John Lampard on Monday, 23 June, 2008 to the blogs subset

Sydney digital creative Nic Hodges reposts a blog he, and friend Tim, wrote during their travels to Mexico and Cuba in early 2006. Havana. "You wanna buy cigar? Cohiba? I give good price!!" What a crazy place. It's hard to reconcile the obvious poverty and shortages of basic necessities (like toilet seats, bottled water, some foodstuffs) with the sometimes ostentatious wealth (the dudes driving audis). The city is ... Read full entry

Posted by John Lampard on Tuesday, 15 April, 2008 to the blogs subset

Old skool web design pal, Filipino designer extraordinaire, and "on-again off-again blogger since 1999", Jose Illenberger, has recently relaunched Redberger. I'm loving the simple, yet elegant, design... more blogs need to look like this. Jose's 2001 inception of Redberger, the Preaching Season has to be one of my favourite sites of all time :)

Cow For Sale John Cow is once again looking to sell his "make mooney online" parody site, and bidding has opened at the SitePoint Marketplace. For a cool $50,000 however it can be yours right now. Personally I think you'd need to sell A LOT of money making milk to recoup that investment, but that's just me. You do know I am convinced the John Cow site is run ... Read full entry
