The trick to surviving an outing in a cartoon adventure is, apparently, not to look down... in fact never look down: Daffy Duck steps off a cliff, expecting further pastureland. He loiters in midair, soliloquizing flippantly, until he chances to look down. At this point, the familiar principle of 32 feet per second takes over.

Bill Melendez, Peanuts animator dies, aged 91

Bill Melendez, the only person allowed by Charles M. Schulz to animate his Peanuts comic strip, has died aged 91. Melendez also animated other well known cartoon characters during his career, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck.
