Community 2.0 with Twitter

Community 2.0 with Twitter A little more about why MyBlogLog have set up themselves (yes, it really is them. and not someone who has hi-jacked their name) up on Twitter. They've also come up with a clever way to keep track of their followers, whose number could potentially reach several thousand. So a single account to broadcast the occasional shout out or service update is a no-brainer. The harder, ... Read full entry

Here I was, just the other day, suggesting that the best way to subvert the system was from within, and ain't it funny how life suddenly seems to be imitating art, if I may be so bold, so self serving, as to say so... Long ago Yahoo! lucked out in the search engine wars to the big G, but in what appears to be an attempt to return ... Read full entry

Riddle me this. How many social networks must a blogger join before they become a blogging superstar? 20? 30? As many as it is possible to join, and then some? I'm actually willing to go out on a limb here, and bet the answer is closer to "as few as possible". As a busy (theoretically) blogger how many social networks could you actively participate in, while seeing some sort of return (that ... Read full entry

I seem to be referring to the MyBlogLog blog community quite often these days, but I'm telling you, if you're a blogger, and you're not a member, then you're missing out on all the fun! There's been much said about the newly introduced, and, oh ah, controversial community messaging feature in recent days, but there's something else that's been happening there over ... The latest MyBlogLog (MBL) initiative, community messaging, which was launched sometime today (Sydney time), while in essence a great idea, could have been better executed I believe. Basically the new facility allows MBL members to send messages, en masse to everyone who is a member of their MBL blog community. First up, I think the facility to communicate this way, that is, en masse is a great idea. It's an ... Read full entry

MyBlogLog, or MBL, is a great way to promote your blog and maybe even link up with some like minded people at the same time. Last time I checked there were approximately 150,000 members, up from about 70,000 (I think) when I joined last February. Whatever figure you take though, there is certainly no shortage of blogs to look at. The selection of member blogs on MBL is probably pretty indicative ... Read full entry
