Fairfax unveils youth news website
So this is citizen journalism! Australian newspaper publishers Fairfax today launched The Vine, an online news service especially for Generation Y readers.
Unlike traditional news services, The Vine encourages reader participation (user contributed content) by promising members the possibility of “fifteen megabytes of fame”, according to Fairfax senior product manager, Cinnamon Pollard.
