There’s definitely some “get up and go” associated with the colour red.
Not only do athletes who wear red tend to do better than their opponents, women who wear a red outfit of some sort on a date are more likely to experience a higher quality outing as opposed to being dressed in another colour…

Not sure about anywhere else, but certainly in the sporting arena red is a colour that is associated with success, and good fortune.
