When it comes to striking gold, bronze medals beat silver

Overall bronze medalists are happier with their prize than are silver medalists, who have a much greater sense of having just missed out on the top award, the gold medal.

Howzat for a French cut? Cricket was invented in Belgium

Apparently the “English” sports game cricket originated in Belgium not England, according to (and the plot thickens) an Australian researcher.

Randwick verses the All Blacks

It’s almost 20 years since local rugby club Randwick RFC played the mighty All Blacks at Coogee Oval.
