An interesting list, though possibly it should be referred to as the “highest profile” rather than the “best” blogs, as there are a quite a few of the usual suspects present (though it’s good to see the Bad Astronomy blog included).

The Top 100 Public Intellectuals
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was included in The 2008 TIME 100 list of the world’s most influential people.
While the Time Magazine list featured a mix of “leaders, thinkers, heroes, artists, and scientists”, the Foreign Policy and Prospect journals have now opened up voting for The Top 100 Public Intellectuals.

The Best (and Worst) TIME Covers
Rate the best and worst Time Magazine covers from 1923 onwards.
I’m not sure what the criteria was in selecting the worst covers (sheer cringe-ability maybe?) but personally I see nothing amiss with this 1981 cover… what’s wrong with Time going for a LOLCATS look?
