It could be another upgrade is imminent at Technorati. My surmise is based both anecdotal evidence, and hearsay, so I'd say my suspicions are therefore pretty sound... Apologies for the longer than expected outage during the upgrade to Wordpress 2.2.1... one or two files didn't make the upload (no one click installs on this web server - it's a manual process!), so things didn't quite run as expected. All should be well now. And I enabled Akismet after the upgrade... it seems someone (a spammer) was trying to dispense dodgy share market advice here earlier!

Woke up 90 minutes late. Hit the ground running. It still took 90 minutes to finally leave the house and get around to the coffee shop. Put the delay down to "household duties".
