Showers are forecast for Sydney on Saturday but hopefully the site won’t turn into the mud-bath that Good Vibes did back in February.

Despite occupying at least a quarter of Centennial Park (far more space than the recent Good Vibrations and Jack Johnson events), and having two stages, the V Festival, which took place in Sydney last Saturday still lost money, according to Virgin boss, Richard Branson.

The Sydney leg of the V Festival is the next music event to take place in Centennial Park, this Saturday, 29 March.
The Smashing Pumpkins and Duran Duran are co-headlining (an unlikely pairing?), while Queens Of The Stone Age, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Presets, and Brazilian band CSS, form part of the extensive lineup.
