What’s worse than virus protection? Free virus protection

Food for thought? The only thing worse than viruses - is virus protection software. And the only thing worse than virus protection software - is free virus protection software. As an ex-web designer I still field a number of support requests from people using certain free virus protection software. Not saying the subscription applications are any better though. Whitelists anyone?

Finding viruses before they find us

Scientists are gearing up to scour wilderness areas and remote regions of Earth in an attempt to track down the remaining unknown varieties of viruses that could potentially pose threat to humanity. The Perfect Storm. An interesting article about the Storm botnet which I briefly mentioned a few weeks ago. The Storm computer virus had been spreading since early in the year, grabbing control of PCs around the world.
