This handy new enhancement to StatCounter web stats, which I noticed when I logged in this morning to check my stats, could prove useful for marketers and those running location specific advertising campaigns on their websites or blogs.
Webmasters can now get a clearer indication of where their readers are based, that is city or locality, which could help them sell advertising spots on their blogs for events such as conferences or exhibitions, which are specific to a particular geographical location.
While a reader’s country has always been displayed, and it has been possible to garner an approximate idea of where their web server is based, this is the first time this more precise data has been readily viewable.
Great stuff StatCounter!
