Artwork by Tripp Derrick Barnes

Tripp Derrick Barnes is a New York City based artist, and purveyor of works, that could only be described as trippy. But take a look at the way he works. I’m thinking Jackson Pollock at times. Regardless, it still looks fun.

He has worked in advertising, on films, including “The Dark Knight” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, and has painted portraits of actors and celebrities, Matthew Mcconaughey and Susan Sarandon, among others.

Collaborating with Steven Swancoat, a doctor and artist, Barnes has also pioneered an artform called PopNeoism, that connects contemporary icons with abstract expressionism.
