All currencies, all hours

Posted by John Lampard on Monday, 31 January, 2005 to the comment subset

Over the weekend I was a little short changed, and instead of receiving an Australian one dollar coin I ended up with a 50 euro cent piece instead. The two coins are very similar in size and colour so confusing them isn’t too difficult, I suppose. Not much I can do about it now. I don’t even know who slipped me ... Read full entry

The annual Triple J Hottest 100 was counted down last Wednesday, on Australia Day. I tuned in at various points but missed most of the top twenty. I later found out that Franz Ferdinand’s “Take me out” was voted the number one song of 2004 by Triple J listeners. There was a curious entry was at number 21. None other than William Shatner (he of ... Read full entry

Wine may reveal the truth that you say dislike your current job. It could be ... Read full entry

That’s if the news Ben Goodger, one of the lead developers of the Firefox browser, who has recently been taken on board by Google, is anything to go by.Apparently Google recently hired a number of other browser ... Duplicitous

Posted by John Lampard on Thursday, 27 January, 2005 to the design and art subset

Once, a few years ago, disassociated was completely stolen, or pirated. Everything was taken: the HTML, CSS, javascript, images; the lot.A designer who happened to live in New Zealand thought that it might be easier just to take disassociated, apply one or two minor cosmetic changes, such as the name of the site, and call it his own work.Yet it was this almost total ... Time moves so slowly (sometimes), but this is no time to be quoting Elvis Presley. Rather Jimi Hendrix’s “All along the watchtower” seems more appropriate:No reason to get excitedThe thief he kindly spokeThere are many here among us Who feel that life is but a joke but uhBut you and I we’ve been through thatAnd ...
