The Taste of Sydney food festival opened last night.

On until this Sunday, Sydney’s Centennial Park will definitely be a foody’s paradise for the next few days.

The recent Spot Food & Film Festival has given me a taste for… food, so it looks like I’ll be heading along to Taste of Sydney, a four day festival of food and dining, taking place in Sydney’s Centennial Park, from tomorrow 11 March, through until Sunday.

The streets around the Ritz Cinema, in Randwick, Sydney, were closed yesterday afternoon for this year’s Spot Food & Film Festival.

This was the closing event of the inaugural Australian Film Festival, which opened on 24 February 2010.

The Australian Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday 24 February 2010, and the Ritz Cinema at Randwick will be screening the following films as part of the event:

Mad Max (Popcorn Taxi event), 24 February, 7pm
How to be a Sex Star, 25 February, 7pm
The Gates of Hell, 26 February, 9pm
Blue Lies, 27 February, [...]

Despite the last minute cancellation of The Killers and Friendly Fires, and a somewhat damp and muggy day, Good Vibrations in Sydney’s Centennial Park still seemed to pack its usual punch last Saturday.
